We are in Corfu. We are leaving in a while.
Today's tour it's going to be short. We'll come back to the boat later to relax.
We won't be tired because it's not going to be long.
We are down and going to take the bus that will take us to a monastery
with a name I dare not pronounce...
Something like that, I don't know how to pronounce it.
Julia says it's pronounce Paleokastritsa.
Yeah... that...
The guide told us that Corfu had a huge Venetian influence,
and that's why they have so many fortresses and the crest of the winged lion on the city walls.
The guide left us in the commercial area at Corfu Town, the biggest city in the island.
This area reminds me of El Rastro and the commercial areas in Granada.
It's all small stores selling handmade things. We are walking around a bit,
if we are back on the bus on time it's ok.
We are in Paleokastritsa, that means "old small castle" in Greek.
It's the monastery we talked about before. It's ruled by Orthodox monks.
Views from here are amazing: cliffs, beaches, clean water, pretty colours...
The inside of the island reminded me to Spain, it's really similar.
There a lot of cats here in the monastery. It's cool.
We left the monastery and what I liked the most were the cats, I don't know about you.
- The same.
Surprisingly Julia wanted to be friends with every single animal we found.
- I want them all!
Julia bought that fashion hat to not burn.
Tomorrow is the last stop before Venice: Dubrovnik. We'll see how it is.
