What happens when women thrive?
Communities flourish.
Countries prosper.
Our world is a better place.
Women's lives are improving,
but data show that progress is too slow.
More girls are completing primary
school now than ever before.
But, in 42 countries, fewer than half of women have
completed secondary school.
Around the globe, more women are making choices for
themselves-like family planning.
Yet, fewer than one-half of married
women use modern contraceptives.
And in some countries, more than one-third of
married women have experienced violence by
an intimate partner.
But we can make a difference.
We can act on evidence that fuels decision-making
to better women's lives.
USAID has the statistics we need.
Their Demographic and Health Surveys
Program-DHS-captures data that can inspire the most effective
programming for change.
So don't wait.
