Sharing your data connection with friends and family is easy
using your Galaxy Stratosphere II from Verizon Wireless.
Watch this video to learn how.
First tap the Menu button from any home screen.
Then select Settings. Tap Mobile hotspot.
To turn your mobile hotspot on, move the slider to the ON position.
Note that Wi-Fi must be turned off
in order to turn on your mobile hotspot.
If prompted, choose "Turn off Wi-Fi" to continue.
Next read the tip about battery power.
Your hotspot is now active
and other devices can connect to it using Wi-Fi.
To view or change the name or password of your mobile hotspot
tap Configure.
You now have the option to change your network's name and password.
Once you're done making any changes, tap Save.
Tap Back to return to settings.
Another way to share your data connection with a computer
is with USB tethering.
Select More settings under the Wireless and network heading.
Tap Tethering. To use USB Tethering
you will need the USB cable that came with your phone.
Connect the small end of the cable to your phone
and the large end to your computer.
Once connected, you will have the option to turn USB tethering on.
To do so, tap the empty checkbox next to USB tethering.
An icon will appear in your notifications panel
telling you that tethering is active.
On your computer, you should now be able to connect to the device.
To turn tethering off
simply tap the box next to USB tethering once again.
