I feel like Medicare and Social Security are broken right now, and in the
future, I don't think it's even gonna be there. I think that this system is so overloaded, and
we're robbing Peter to pay Paul. And I think that, for future generations--you know not
everybody in America has a retirement plan, and some people are gonna depend upon
Social Security and Medicare to survive. And I think that if we can't provide those basic
human rights, then we are not the superpower we think we are. Well, my son--his father was
killed when he was 7. And without the Social Security that I receive for him, it would have been
impossible for me to take care of him. My stepfather is 69 years old, and he is on Social Security right
now. And that would be a huge chunk missing from out of him and my mom's life if they didn't have that.
I mean and he also has Medicare for his healthcare issues. And I just think it's a vital part of
American culture. I just think we need to not be afraid to overhaul this system.
