Welcome to a March of Dimes Minute.
Did you know?
That if you contribute private contributions to an RDSP, the government will top it up as well.
Private contributions can be added to any existing RDSP, provided the plan holder says it's ok.
The maximum lifetime contribution is $200,000 and it's the lifetime of the person with a disability.
You can contribute all those funds in one year, or you can spread them out over a number of years...
...which is typically the better routine to do.
These contributions do not provide the contributor with a tax credit or tax deduction,
but they can be added to this plan until the person with a disability reaches age 59.
And this has been a March of Dimes Minute.
