Hi, my name is Clint Schambach and I am a personal trainer and bootcamp instructor with
Level Up Fitness in St Louis, MO.
A big concern for people when they are working with a personal trainer is what happens when
they miss a personal training session?
With peoples schedules constantly changing on a weekly and sometimes daily basis, they
want to know what will happen if they have to reschedule a workout.
The good news is that this is not uncommon and can almost always be worked around. There
needs to be an open communication between the personal trainer and the client. If you
travel a lot for work or are leaving for vacation, just let your personal trainer know and they
will be more than happen to find a more convenient time on a different day, or possibly a different
week.
Something you need to know is that most personal training gyms have a 24 cancellation policy.
So as long as you don’t cancel last minute, you can always reschedule that workout at
a more convenient time. The reason for the 24 hour rule is that it stops any last minute
cancellations when you just don’t feel like doing anything, because let’s be honest,
we have all tried to tell ourselves that we are just too tired to go workout.
Most personal trainers do not get paid unless their clients actually show up to their workouts.
And it becomes very difficult to fill an open hour when someone cancels at the last minute.
So you will be charged if you cancel with less than 24 hours. Most people show a lot
more dedication in getting to the gym when they know they are going to lose money for
cancelling. By not cancelling and showing up consistently to your workouts, your weight
loss and fat loss results will happen more quickly.
If you or anyone you know is struggling with fitness or weight loss, and has been going
to their local gyms, fitness center, or health club bootcamp without seeing any fat loss
results, then let me invite you to check out additional videos on our website or YouTube
