The Syrian regime's army passes through the historic town of Qalaat al-Madiq
leaving behind more destruction than the aftermath of earthquakes and many wars.
And this army [FSA] which has left its mark on the walls of this school
has made it clear that Assad's army is not the real army of the nation of Syria.
This is a house. The signs of destruction are clear and evident.
The regime's army forces have burned the house.
What have we done? We swear that we have done nothing.
We have not armed men. We have not armed gangs.
We were living in our homes and they came to burn our homes.
Where can we go now? Where?
Tell me. Where can we go now?
Are these terrorists? They burned them, right?
This house, which belongs to the director of the cultural center in Qalaat al-Madiq, has also been burned down.
Is the director of the cultural center a member of the armed gangs?
We are in our homes. Rest assured, we are not armed.
We do not have weapons against anyone. We are in our homes.
We barely have enough to eat.
They forced us to leave our homes. They killed us.
We were in the woods for 15 days,
each day in a different village, each day in a different town.
Look. Our sons and children are dying of anger. We have no bread.
Where is the justice? Where are the people? Where is the world? Where is humanity?
After the complete destruction of Aphamea Hospital in Qalaat al-Maqid,
the regime and its soldiers looted all the pharmacies of the town
to deprive its citizens of the lowest level of health care they are capable of receiving.
After the destruction of this restaurant and its looting,
the men of Bashar al-Assad did not forget to leave their signature on it.
Here we read: "The Ninth Division, and that's it. The men of tanks."
and here we read: "The victory was granted by the men of tanks on the residents of Qalaat al-Madiq, on their homes and shops."
This simple slogan summarizes what is happening in Syria: "Assad, or we'll burn the country."
"Do not make trouble, or we'll be back"--a threat from the regime army to the residents of Qalaat al-Madiq.
However, the people declare this a revolution for freedom and dignity. They will not submit themselves without reaching their aims.
