one2edit enables your teams to do collaborative editing, translation and
review of live Adobe InDesign documents in a web browser. The design integrity of
your brand is protected because one2edit uses InDesign Server to make all of
the changes to your InDesign documents.
Your InDesign file is never converted into a proprietary format that would
result in the loss of important InDesign features and document quality.
Turning your InDesign document into a managed project in one2edit is easy.
You just use InDesign's package feature to gather all the document assets
together...
...then you create a zip archive of the InDesign file and the links folder.
You upload that .zip archive to the asset server and then unzip it.
Once it's uploaded to the asset server you unzip the archive and tell one2edit
you want to turn the InDesign document into a managed project.
one2edit analyzes the document layout and content, turns it into a project, and
from there you're ready to begin creating new jobs assignments and editing rights.
In the next video, I'll describe the process of creating the job assignments or
content groups,
creating the editing rights or policies, and also text segmentation -
the process of cutting the text up into bite-sized pieces for editing or translation
