Facilitator: Hello. Jolianse: Hello. F: Please state your name and age.
J: My name is Jolianse Kinzanda Mwinza. I'm 17 years old.
F: What school do you go to?
J: I attend the Pedagogical Institute at Mokengeli.
F: You're attending CLI's Leadership Institute.
What does leadership mean to you?
J: Leadership is the ability of an individual to influence
members of her community to take concerted action.
F: How do you plan to become
a leader in your community?
J: I am going to become a skilled leader.
I plan to use these skills -
the skills I learned at CLI - for my community...
to sacrifice for the community.
I am going to work for
the common good.
F: What would you like to say to the organizers of this training?
J: First,
I'd like to thank them. This was very good
because
CLI has taught us useful values.
I had ignored these values
and did not see the potential in myself. Now I know that I am capable of leading.
Since I've started working with CLI,
I have hope and confidence
that I am capable of influencing others and capable of leading my country.
I know that I can work with others to make my community better
We have spoken of what it means to be a leader
with the facilitators,
and this has been the best for me. It has been good
to notice their behavior and watch everything that they do.
It is good to see what they do to support us
and facilitate the program for the good of everyone.
