Here we have a Mullard 12AT7WA also called CV4024.
These were made in the Mitcham factory and are British military surplus from the ‘80s.
This tube has a halo getter and short crimped grey plates.
Like most Mullard preamp tubes the bottle has a seem at the top.
An interesting thing to note is that these typically have a bright flash when they are powered up cold.
This is not a defect, it’s normal for these tubes.
We really like these for use in driver circuits and phase inverters.
They are quite a popular upgrade for our customers who own Jolida amps. They also are excellent in Fender reverb circuits.
