Big Leap is a project that's
sort of like B-Floor's big step, a big leap because we felt like we were doing
something bigger than ourselves It's definitely our important step.
So we started fundraising for our trip to New York.
It came in mind after...
this year, a little while after the big flood.
We were thinking of it but hadn't really started it right away
because we thought we should try asking the goverment for support first.
Our deadline came closer and it looked like we wouldn't get any support from them,
so we turned to our friends,
seeing if anyone could help even if it would be only a few hundred
or thousand bahts.
Our flight will stop at Delhi and layover
for 15 hours! Or maybe 11.
So we're gonna rehearse Taste of Curry over there.
- No kidding. - Seriously!
But maybe we'll just read through the script.
If we could, we would just dance or perform. But I don't think it's allowed.
We just need to rehearse or so because it's too long.
We'll reach New York at about 11am.
Then we'll have a group dinner.
The next day we'll still be free. We won't be able
to get in the theatre until the day after.
Have to wait and see what's next.
The plan is still tentative.
Undergroundzero Festival invited B-Floor. They invited only the group,
but didn't require any specific performance.
But it's just that B-Floor's already had a year plan at that point.
And the timing we were asked to go perform
is the same time OXYGEN would be performed here.
Going there with tickets very expensive,
we were interested in bringing another show so we ended up
with Taste of Curry in Siamese Connection Exhibition.
We'll all be given Unlimited Subway Cards valid for only one week.
- Never used it before. - A comb, anyone?
- That sounds good! - A toothpick here too.
One of our contributors was worried we wouldn't get enough sleep
so he gave us these.
Does anyone want a toothpick?
Our fundraising started with close relatives of cast members.
A little bit of this, and that. Then we started to realize
small amount from many people could become one big sum.
That covers 3 tickets. After that, when we started
fundraising online on our website, page,
and also Indiegogo.com, we've got another 5 tickets covered.
The art auction at OXYGEN gala premiere raised funds for the rest of the tickets.
All done in that night. Cleared for plane tickets.
For eating and travelling in New York, we'll wait and see
how much OXYGEN in Thailand has left for us,
and we'll spend that.
We'll fly in a day and a half. So we're packing our stuff now.
A person can have two bags, each with a limit of 23 kgs.
So it's like one for personal stuff and the other for props and costumes,
trying not to exceed 23 kgs, but I don't know
if any of these is already overweight. Gotta check.
Now there are
6-7 bags of props and costumes.
Here, we put in breakable stuff.
For saftety, we wrapped it up with T-shirts we'll sell over there.
with T-shirts we'll sell over there. "I Support Art" & "I Love Physikal"
- We proudly present this. - When you go travelling,
you wouldn't want your bag lost. So you put some marks on it.
For us who are quite similar to a dance troupe,
we chose a cheerleader's symbol: this Thai style mini pompom.
We've cut some things from Oxygen's original set. We're bringing
just the bigger pieces of newspaper. Also the bigger plastic sheets.
I think the festival doesn't have a projector for us
so we're bringing that as well.

Pots, cooking utensils...rice bags, glasses. Lots of condiments.
When we started BIg Leap, we never thought it would come this far.
We thought we might make only half the leap.
But we've
we've been very surpirsed with
great amount of support we've got from
our fans, friends, families
both living near and far.
We've learned that we've got...hmm
people who want to support us so we can go on to create our work.
We've raised the money to pay for 7 tickets. That's a lot of money.
We just feel grateful, and honored,
and just great.
Hopefully the works we created
have made them feel great too.
We just don't know how to thank everyone enough.
Maybe we'll do now. Thank YOU!
