QUAIL EGGS - Do they have cholesterol?

INTRODUCTION: Many people believe and claim that quail eggs have curative properties and do not contain cholesterol.
GOAL: To verify objectively the information about the absence of cholesterol in quail eggs.
MATERIAL: Quail eggs from the supermarket in the neighborhood.
METHOD: The yolk was separated from the white and homogenised with a spoon.

METHOD: The cholesterol content was measured using a Q.Steps G/C II biometer.
RESULT:...
RESULT: Total cholesterol = 324 mg/dl
COMMENT: Since the manufacterers parameters were not followed the results are not reliable as far as precission is concerned.
However, the presence of cholesterol in big amounts can be stated as certain.
CONCLUSIONS: 1. Quail eggs do contain a big cuantity of cholesterol.
2. The claims about quail eggs not having cholesterol are incorect.
