Hi! I am Linda Hallberg!
Today we're visiting Make Up Store
I'm going to show you one daily makeup and one party makeup using the products here
Make Up Store are most known for the lively colors on eye shadow, lipstick, eyepens and so on
But I will show you a new world beyond all those colors!
Like skin care, perfume and hair care. So let's get it on!
This is one of my favorite parts of Make Up Store called Fragrance library
My favorite fragrance is this one I'm holding here, called Your Valentine
Smells like vanilla and a bit heavier than other sweeter fragrances around
This is the skin care shelf
Except for skin care products we also have some hair care products on the top shelf
Here you can customize your own series of skin care products
To get the right combination for your skin type
Here's one of my favorites, The Mud Mask
It's a blue mud mask
And looks like this!
Commonly known as the "smurf mask"
It's good for deep cleansing to get rid of impurities...
...and ***!
Before I start with the makeup I have to wash of my current makeup
To do this I use this Cleansing oil
It takes care of waterproof makeup, ordinary makeup and eye makeup
You should always shake before use, which I almost forgot!
Here I am!
I'll carry on with skin tonic, face cream and eye cream before I start with the makeup
Now I'll use Face Mist. It works both as fixation spray and skin tonic
Simple and nice to spray on
Because my skin is dry from cold weather I'm going to use this Night Time cream
In the face
You can use a night cream during the day if your skin is dry
Rub the cream in to get the blood circulation going
Upwards and backwards. Not downwards!
We don't want these bulldog cheeks earlier than necessary!
Now it's time for the Moisturizing Eye Roll On
Just below the eye and below the eyebrow
Never on the eyelid!
If you find a redundancy of cream somewhere, use the dabbing technique for compensation
Now I'll begin with the base, the part I enjoy most!
Now I'll put on the consealer called Cover All Mix
I'll be using the 206 brush
Do not poke in a sticky product. Use the backside of the pen on the back of the hand and take it from there
Use yellow on red and pink on blue, under the eyes for example.
The bright can be used on a light skin tone
Or if you want to highlight below the eyebrows, bridge of the nose or the cheekbones
Now I'm about to cover some red with the yellow
Don't mind if it ends up spotty through this stage
That will be fixed during the next stage
This is just the dirty work you could say
Some people do the concealer first and others the foundation
but there's no correct order to do these things. It's totally up to yourself
Cover all mix can be rather dry
If that's the case you can mix in foundation, day cream or eye cream
Just a little, little, little bit is enough. Don't overdo it
It's a common mistake that will make it look tiling
The pink will cover the blue and the yellow will cover the red
Now I feel I have completed this stage with the concealer
Time for the foundation
I'll be using two CC Foundations, light and fair
I use these colors for the whole face
and also to highlight certain points on the face
I'll start with the one called fair, the brightest one.
I'll put it on the part I want to highlight
The parts I want to highlight are
chin, nose, cheekbones and forehead
To get some more form on the face
I think it's nice to always use two colors
when working with concealer
You'll get a nicer finish on the face when you're done
I think the CC foundation does the job really well
Also works well without a concealer if that's what you want
I also do the jaw line with the bright
As you can see the concealer I applied before are smoothening out
and blends in with the same color as the foundation
Now I'll start with the light color
and use it on the rest of the face
Try to mix it with the bright so we don't get any sharp edges!
I dab it on rather than brushing
So we don't get any stripes in the face
Try as good as you can to mix together the two colors
Now after the foundation it's time for some powder
The powder stops the foundation to run off
I use a powder puff so it will stick better
This is a transparent powder with some yellow pigments
It's called Milk
I think it's good because you can use it all year around
You never get too pale or too brown
It always works
The yellow will reduce some of the red
If you're cheeks or nose is red. So it's also a good touch up powder
Now my face will look very dim
I'll take care of that later!
Some people like to look dim and others more shiny
Personally I like the shiny look because you'll look more lively
The dim look is good for an oily skin because you'll shine enough anyway
Now I'll put on highlights again. In the color Sinai
This is the brightest of the Wonder powders out there
This is really nice to put on the cheeks, nose, chin and the forehead
I'm starting with the nose
Just to get some life in the face
Now for the cheekbones
I will do the shading last
Since I will work so much on the face now
and I don't want any spots on the shading or blush so we save that for last
Let's do the eyebrows!
I'm going to use this product called Tri Brow
This is also available for redheads and is called Duo Brow
I will use all three colors for my eyebrows
For this I use the 110 brush
It's really easy to use
I have the puff on my hand to keep my hand from touching the face
Now I'm happy with the form on the eyebrows but I'm not quite done yet
Now I'm using Brow fix which is a transparent gel
I'll brush upwards so every straw will face the same direction
And to keep them in place
After this I'll use a foundation or concealer to trim the rough edges just below the brow
Now I'm going to use Cover all mix again, the bright color
And put it below the eyebrows
This will also create a highlight and make you look fresher
Now I'll start with my daily look
I'll use this primer so the shadow will stick. It's called Eyeprimer Tinted
It's a bit colored and personally I think shadows stick best on this
I'm putting it on with the 216 brush
On the whole eyelid up to the eyebrow
This is also possible to do with a finger
but not so good if you have long nails!
When applying primer it's important not to overdo it
because that will cause a counter effect
Applying very little and spreading it out on the eyelid will be enough
Now I will be using two eyeshadows
Desert and smog which are my favorites
They're both dim and really nice to use together or seperately
I'm starting with desert, the bright one
On the eyelid
Using a big brush called 106
Now for the smog that I put a little bit in on the eyelid which I later will tone upwards
These two colors goes very well with blue, brown and green eyes
So it's not exclusive for blue eyes!
Now I have changed brush because I want to blur the colors
This is brush 17
Now I'll be using this eyepen called Not So Dark
I draw this under the eye just to mark it a little bit
Just a little, little bit since I will blur this out
So it will look like a shadow under the eye
Then I put smog on top of it
For fixation so the eyeliner won't disappear during the day
Here you can use this white brush again
To get that nice, toned look
The water line can be a bit red
As I said before about the concealer, yellow will cover red so I use a yellow pen called Vanilla
I don't want a white water line because that's not even a natural color
That's why I just neutralize so it will look as natural as possible
To finish the eyes I will put on mascara
I'll start with the eyelashes using Volume mascara that will create volume
I always bend the lashes before I paint them
Then I start painting under the lashes
Now I'm done with the mascara
I'm going to cheat now because I see a little pimple right here
Just dab it on there
I'm going to match the lips with the eyes a little bit
with a lipstick that's a bit brownish called Bare
Since I later will build this makeup in to a party makeup
I'm not doing any shading or blush since I don't want to mess it up
So this will be my daily makeup!
