BEN BALLER: My name is Ben Baller, and you probably
recognize me pushing fancy whips, stunting in the
nightclubs, or sitting courtside at the Laker games,
but the rest of the world knows me as the jeweler to the
stars, Ben Baller.
So tonight I got a call from my boy Benji Madden.
Me and him have a lot of history, we're in a crew
together, AMC.
We usually hang out, it's not about jewelry, but I think he
could buy some jewelry.
BENJI MADDEN: Good to see you buddy.
Let's come over here.
BEN BALLER: All right, cool.
BENJI MADDEN: Yeah this is our little spot, we do all the
production stuff.
We've been having a lot of fun in here.
BEN BALLER: I hit up my boy, and I was like, yo man, it's
crazy I haven't seen Benji, and then you hit me up.
BENJI MADDEN: Every time I talk to you, you're in Vegas
with Mayweather.
We take Benn Baller, when we can get Ben Baller.
BEN BALLER: Well what do you have in mind?
What's going on?
BENJI MADDEN: Me and Joel are working on a new
record right now.
When we finish I always get Joel a present.
Joel is a gun enthusiast.
BEN BALLER: I know this.
BENJI MADDEN: We used to do the big chains, you're the one
who got us into it.
BEN BALLER: Listen bro, stop, stop.
Before you get into all of the [INAUDIBLE],
BENJI MADDEN: Not to say some big ketchup bottle or mustard
bottle is not classy, I was thinking just a little bullet.
BEN BALLER: I can do a .45 caliber, I
can do black diamonds.
Keep it real understated, hella muted.
BENJI MADDEN: A ball chain or something.
BEN BALLER: OK that's done.
Budget, probably be like three racks, ain't going to be
nothing crazy.
[CRICKETS]
BENJI MADDEN: What does three racks mean?
I forget.
BEN BALLER: Three, 0, 0, 0.
3,000.
BENJI MADDEN: All right,
BEN BALLER: Chill, you know what I mean?
BENJI MADDEN: Perfect.
BEN BALLER: Do you have a time frame?
BENJI MADDEN: I mean our birthday's coming up.
BEN BALLER: That's a done deal.
BENJI MADDEN: I never worry with you man,
the sooner the better.
BEN BALLER: Beautiful 10:44 AM, heading
down to my store now.
Time limit, is no big deal, nothing like that.
Price issue is, with friends of mine, I might charge him
10% over cost, I might even take a loss on it.
He might be wearing this when he's on TMZ.
I got to tell Jeff what the price I quoted is, and just
make sure that we get our employees paid.
JEFF: What's up man?
BEN BALLER: What's up fool?
JEFF: Chilling.
BEN BALLER: Hey, last night I sat with Benji Madden.
JEFF: For what?
BEN BALLER: You know who Benji Madden is or no?
JEFF: The white boy.
That rock star dude with the brother that looks like him.
BEN BALLER: Ha-ha he knows!
OK, good.
So I see Benji, and he wants to get Joel a
present, the brother.
We're going to do a .40 caliber bullet, but we're
going to do black diamonds.
JEFF: Fully flooded, everything?
BEN BALLER: Everything.
Even the [INAUDIBLE].
JEFF: How much you charging him?
[TIRES SQUEAL]
Don't give me that look, how much you charging him?
BEN BALLER: No, I know we're supposed to charge him five or
something, but I just said three.
Because you know that's my homeboy.
JEFF: Giving him for free?
BEN BALLER: He's going to give me extra good charge.
JEFF: Free every day.
BEN BALLER: Charge him inside the [INAUDIBLE] like this.
Inside each other.
Yeah 3,000.
Don't worry about it bro.
JEFF: OK.
BEN BALLER: You're sexy, I love you.
JEFF: Whatever.
BEN BALLER: All right man.
JEFF: All right.
BEN BALLER: The process of making Benji
Madden's bullet piece.
I give Jimmy a .40 caliber real bullet, and then from
there he makes a mold.
[INSTRUMENTAL HIP HOP BEAT]
He cuts the wax, sends it to casting.
Once it sits in casting, it's in gold.
Once we get it finished, We give it to Chucky.
Chucky sets his diamonds in it.
After Chucky finished setting diamonds in it, Chucky's going
to black rhodium it a few times.
Once Chucky's finished black rhodiuming
it, send it to polishing.
After polishing, it's ready for delivery.
Jeff, when you're finished man, I need to talk to you.
Jesus Christ dude.
JEFF: What the *** are you looking for?
BEN BALLER: I need Benji, the bullet.
Chucky said it was done, where is it?
JEFF: It's not done?
Oh, hold on.
This is the one?
BEN BALLER: Why are you wearing it dude?
JEFF: I like it.
BEN BALLER: Now come on man, quit your ***
playing games bro.
JEFF: What do you mean?
BEN BALLER: Give it to me dude, I got to go.
JEFF: Didn't you tell me to wear it?
BEN BALLER: Yeah I told you to wear it.
I told you to *** put it inside your butt.
JEFF: Oh my lord.
BEN BALLER: You think we should have PVDed or no?
JEFF: No, it looks fine like that.
You said you want that metal, rusted look.
BEN BALLER: All right, we're good man.
Benji hit me up from Australia, and he wanted to
see what was going on with this.
He doesn't know I finished a day early.
[ROCK MUSIC]
I'm on my way up right now to the penthouse, and I'm going
to drop off this bullet for Joel.
We're a day early, so, we'll see what happens.
BENJI MADDEN: Ben Baller.
What's up buddy?
JEFF: What's up dude?
BENJI MADDEN: Come on in.
BEN BALLER: What's good man?
BENJI MADDEN: Music, travel, music, travel, music.
BEN BALLER: How was Australia?
Was it good?
BENJI MADDEN: It was good.
Hey, how you been?
BEN BALLER: I've been good man, That's why I got a lot of
cats on that goose.
BENJI MADDEN: Of course you do.
BEN BALLER: I do, I mean that's my hustle.
BENJI MADDEN: I already know.
BEN BALLER: Mr. Gun Man.
BENJI MADDEN: The unveiling of a Ben Baller piece is always--
BEN BALLER: Here we go, see what you got?
[HIP HOP MUSIC]
[MUSIC SLOWS]
BENJI MADDEN: Aw dude, I wanted to--
I wanted it--
I'm just kidding.
BEN BALLER: Oh man you scared me bro!
BENJI MADDEN: It's great dude.
BEN BALLER: 0.40 caliber bullet,
BENJI MADDEN: So dope man.
BEN BALLER: Fully flooded.
We even put a solitaire black diamond in
the tip of the bullet.
BENJI MADDEN: A hollowed point.
BEN BALLER: I made everything black gold.
BENJI MADDEN: Man, it's awesome.
This is dope.
Joel's going to love it.
He'll freak out.
BEN BALLER: Oh, I'm excited bro.
BENJI MADDEN: [INAUDIBLE] is craftsmanship.
Christmas is around the corner.
BEN BALLER: All right man, thanks brother.
BENJI MADDEN: I'll see you.
BEN BALLER: Thanks man.
BENJI MADDEN: Whenever I come to any kind of big decisions
in my life where I need to buy jewelry, he's definitely the
guy that I call.
He's always been a great friend, it's cool when you
have a friend who you also enjoy their work
too, and their art.
The bullet is sick.
A grown man can wear it, and it's not silly.
Very tasteful, at same time it's hard as nails.
Its unique, yeah I might have to keep it.
[HIP HOP MUSIC]
BEN BALLER: I'm in a good mood, how much better could my
life really be?
Every time I complain about ***, and then I see like a 7
inch person in a shopping cart, being pushed by a 14
inch person, it's *** like my life is all right dude, I
can't really be that mad.
It's just nice this is done got more jewelry to handle.
Another piece, and another day.
