Hello, friends!
Again, my name is T.J.,
And this is my third video,
and my second update for the #Add1Challenge.
In the last video, I spoke French,
And... of course...
I want to also speak Hebrew.
I am home alone tonight,
That is not... that's not true, because..
my sons are asleep in their beds.
But... as you can see,
I have my two cats.
I have... Cassandra,
And also...
Samson.
But I don't want to talk about the cats tonight, honestly.
They're here with me... and I don't know.
One of the reasons that I wanted to do the challenge was
because I want to work on my accent.
Like many Jews in the United States,
I learned Hebrew before my Bar Mitzvah.
I learned in a school in New Jersey,
And... when I learned Hebrew in school,
I learned to speak like this, with "R"s
like how we say... we say...
say "R" in English.
(with an American accent) I speak things like this.
I speak Hebrew like I speak English.
(Dropping the American accent) And when I went to Israel,
people there know (I meant knew) that I'm from the U.S.
They speak.... SPOKE to me in English.
This is a small problem, but...
Honestly, when I'm speaking Hebrew, I want people...
speaking Hebrew with me.
Another problem for me is that I don't have enough words when I speak Hebrew with other people.
But I can learn more words.
(as you can see on my blog).
And I just need to work on my accent
if I want to speak like people in Israel.
But... this is something for another video.
