Since the Fall of 2007 the Engineers without Borders chapter at the New Jersey Institute
of Technology has been working to provide clean drinking water to the village of Milot,
Haiti. They have undertaken a project to build on site with local materials sand bio-filters
which have been shown to remove 90-99% of water bourn pathogens. In light of the recent
earthquake centered near HaitiÕs capital of Port-au-Prince the NJIT community is encouraged
to join Engineers without Borders in trying to assist in this time of need. You can check
