Presenter: The winner of the Small Training Provider
of the Year Award is Help Enterprises, Queensland.
Stacey Turnbull: I think it was a bit surreal, very surprised
and very excited. For us at Help Enterprises this will make a hug difference, we are a
small not for profit located in Brisbane, we fly under the radar so to get this recognition
will be absolutely incredible we will be able to reach more employers and more people with
disabilities who need training to find employment.
Julie Hall: We have a really high success rate with most
of our courses that we run -- at least a 75% outcome we have positions filled for people
and our aim is to get 95 -- 100% out there, but for some of the people who come to us
even doing a qualification is a bonus for them.
Stacey Turnbull: The Australian Training Awards are incredibly
important for organisations like ours, Registered Training Organisations, it offers up new opportunities,
new avenues, people know who we are. There's so many people that we would like to thank
tonight from our staff back in Brisbane, our board of Directors who support us, our CEO
Mr Kerry Brown, the state and federal government who fund our training programs, our job seekers
and students who come along and participate in training and our wonderful employers who
take our students on work experience and then employment.
