Advanced grouping algorithm based on group scheduling.
Groups of vessels with similar speed are formed before arriving to the transport corridor (IRTC).
Patrols are postioned along the corridor to protect transiting vessels.
Pirate vessels from Somalian coast attack the transiting vessels.
Groups differ from single vessels to group of size of ten or even more.
Every vessel has a set of attributes, e.g. size, maximal speed or preffered speed.
The algorithm groups the vessels along the corridor so the patrols can protect the whole group in case of an attack.
In this case, the pirate was captured by a helicopter launched from the army boat and the prevented the pirate from hijacking a vessel.
Additional feature is clustering of groups in the most dangerous areas along the corridor (as in basic scheduling).
