To get started
Ensure the payroll administrator has the correct user permissions to setup and manage payroll.
Configure the payroll settings to suit your organisation
Add employees granting them access to the employee portal
And you're away - you can start paying your staff and process automatic Superannuation
payments for all employees in one swoop.
Just go to the payroll menu where you can set your pay defaults and add employees.
To configure the payroll settings, work your way through the tabs to customise things like
your payslips, unique pay items, pay calendars, and superannuation funds, easily selecting
the super funds straight from a catalogued list within Xero.
When you add the employees just enter all their details and necessary information to
calculate their pay correctly
Then you can grant your staff access the employee portal in Xero, My Payroll where they can
view their payslips, submit leave requests, and enter timesheets which can be approved
by their manager automatically updating the scheduled payruns.
To pay employees simply click Add Payrun. From here you can make any necessary changes
and generate payroll reports before completing the payrun with the click of a button.
And if you are on the large Xero pricing plan, automatic Superannuation payments for all
employees can be reviewed, securely authorised and paid in one swoop streamlining a two hour
job into a simple 2 minute task.
