In this video we'll cover how to download and edit Course Builder files for version
1.5 and 1.6. The instructions apply both versions. First, navigate to the Course Builder wiki.
Go to the downloads page. All links I mention in this video will be included in the description
of the video. I'm downloading Course Builder version 1.6. Open the file. In previous versions
of Course Builder, such as 1.4 and earlier, you had to edit numerous files within this
folder before you could deploy you app. In version 1.5 and 1.6, you only have to edit
one line in one file (app.yaml). You only need to edit one line in this file before
you're ready to deploy. The line is mycourse. Replace mycourse with the application ID that
you created on appspot.com. If you need help creating an application ID, there is another
video within this playlist that shows you how to do it. Save the file. You're now ready
to deploy your app. Any basic customizations that you need to do to your course, such as
listing the instructor, uploading videos, adding images, adding content can all be done
via the browser with versions 1.5 and 1.6. There is no need to edit course_template.yaml
or other files unless you're doing advanced customizations.
