Hi, my name is Susan Eldridge and I'm an Instructional Technology Trainer
at California State University Long Beach. I have been at CSULB
since August 2011 when I was brought in to help the faculty, staff, and students
with the LMS transition from Blackboard to Desire2Learn.
Since then I've become more involved in helping instructors
enhance their face to face courses with various tools and technology,
explore the possibility of turning some of their courses hybrid,
and think about what it would look like to teach fully online. As I do not have a
background in education,
I was excited to take the @One courses so that I might better be able to support
faculty in all of these endeavors. This is my e-portfolio
where I will showcase the artifacts I created and gathered during the five courses
that demonstrate my understanding of the iNACOL Standards for Quality
Online Teaching.
One of the biggest struggles I had throughout all the courses
was the fact that I was not an instructor and had no class to use as a
basis for my activities,
so I had to create a fictional course and modify
and add to said course each time a new assignment came up.
Please keep this in mind as you view my artifacts
as it will account for any inconsistencies that may arise between them.
Enjoy!
