This training video reviews the quick test function in the EC-Series Analyzer.
Please consult the EC-Series Analyzer Users Manual for more information.
Quick Tests are useful for rapidly measuring batteries or other devices without keeping track of the results.
For example, you can use the Quick Test function to sort batteries using impedance and voltage.
If you have created your own Quick Test Setting you can also sort by CELScan values.
Let's get started.
From the main menu, access the Quick Test screen by using the up and down buttons on the keypad, then press enter.
The Analyzer will display the Quick Test screen.
By default, three Quick Tests are available.
These default Tests cannot be modified or deleted.
Default tests have no applied alarms.
Use 'Impedance Meter' to collect impedance data.
Use the 'Voltage and Impedance Meter' to collect the voltage and impedance of your batteries.
And check the voltage of your batteries with the 'Voltage Meter'.
Any Quick Test created in the Analyzer or transferred from IBMS will also be listed.
Those user defined Quick Tests can include alarms conditions as well as CELScan measurement.
Let's review the Quick Test interface by using a user defined quick test.
The Quick Test Screen present a header section indicating how many quick tests were performed,
and also how many tests received a pass, warn, or fail.
To initiate a quick test, press the enter key.
If you have setup the Quick Test on Auto Start, the measurement will start automatically when the Analyzer is connected to the battery.
The results are displayed when the measurement is done.
One astrisk symbol means the test triggered a warning.
Two astrisk symbols indicates a failed test session.
No symbols indicates a battery that has passed the test.
Use the Up and Down keys to browse through the collection of available results.
Use F1 to quit the Quick Test Session and return to the previous screen.
Note that by doing so, all the collected data will be lost.
Use F2 to review and modify the Quick Test Settings.
Please review EC-TC-2 for details on how to create a Quick Test Settings and modify setup.
If you have done any modifications in the Setup,
use the F2 key to save the change.
Note that all the previous collected data will be lost due to the new Quick Test conditions.
You can also press F1 to cancel any modifications and return to the Quick Test session.
Function F3 allows the removal of any selected Quick Test result.
Use the up and down arrows to highlight the Quick Test result and press F3 to delete.
Function F4 is to change the test temperature.
Enter the new temperature using the key pad or the left and right buttons.
Press F2 to save the new temperature.
Press F2 to save the new temperature.
The new temperature will be applied for the next Quick Test Measurement.
Previous Quick Test Results will use the previous temperature.
When all you tests are finished, press F1 to return to the Quick Test Templates. -
Press F1 again to return to the main menu.
This concludes the training video on performing Quick Tests in the EC-Series Analyzer.
