RISHAD TOBACCOWALA: And I've studied a lot as to why
companies like a Google, like an Apple, like a Facebook, and
others have recently succeeded and in the past how companies
have succeeded.
And I believe it comes underlying with the basic
belief that all of us as individuals want to be or want
to have god-like power, that people want to be God.
And that companies that allow us to be God, which means no
longer hampered by distance, time, or identity, are
companies that will allow us or that we will
put our money to.
So if you think of what you can do between Google Search
and YouTube and Google Earth, think what you can do with the
Apple iPhone, think what you can potentially do over time
with Facebook and Facebook Mobile.
It allows you to have multiple identities.
It allows you to connect to people.
It allows you to fly all over the world.
It gives you true, god-like power.
If you describe to people what they have with modern smart
phones to someone seven, eight years ago, they would say
anyone who has that in the palm of their hands has
god-like power.
So we are marketing to the gods.
So companies that A, understand they're marketing
to the gods, and B, companies that enable god-like power,
will be companies that win.
