Alright, so here we have the head. On the head, we have the cartridge. The cartridge
holds the stylus, which is the actual part that is the needle. That's where actually
reads the grooves on the record. Now, the cartridge consists of the main part. You sometimes
also just refer to this part as the cartridge which you can actually slide right out and
slide right in. I have over here, a head and cartridge that is taken apart. I've already
slid out the cartridge, the portion of the cartridge that holds the stylus, because I
don't want to damage it. When you're putting a new needle on, you definitely probably want
to slide that out, and not have it even close, because any possibility of damaging would
defeat the whole purpose, and you're just going to need to change your needle again.
So, next I'm going to get into how we're going to actually put the cartridge on the head.
