I'd say it's like going from the model T to the V6. It's just a coming of age. The shredder it was just so annoying.
The shredder was loud. The sales and recruiters were on the phones all day, they were complaining,
so I was holding on to a lot of paperwork to wait until closer to the end of the day
when we were wrapping up, and I had a lot of sensitive documents, that I had to stand
there and do for about an hour, and it was just sort of inconvenient.
For each person that we place on a job, their resume, we often times have to print it, and
walk around the office. And it has their home information, their background, where they've
worked
I-9 forms with the candidates, tax forms, medical forms, they all have their socials.
And my candidates definitely ask me where's this paperwork going? They want to know that
it's protected and safe and secure.
We're an IT consulting firm. And we place high level information technology professionals
primarily to the financial services industry here in Boston. In addition we also serve
very large integrators of government contracts. Our sales headquarters is right here on One
State Street, next to the Old State House. We love the location because it allows us
access to walk to our major customers, and Boston is a financial services center.
Our reputation really is the most important thing that we have out there.
When we chose to use the Iron Mountain services, it was part of a group of ideas that we made
to have the company run more efficiently. The bins in addition to being a security issue,
it's also a way of going green. Our paper gets recycled, and we know that.
It's a lot quieter on our floor. It's interesting, since we've gotten these, it just felt like
we took the next step.
The peace of mind is there. People just walk up a put it in the bin. I can't imagine an
easier service and a better piece of mind. And it's also a selling point that you can
use with your customers, to say, "look, our data is secure, we use Iron Mountain".
