Vegan Oatmeal Cookie Bar Recipe by The Sweetest Vegan
Hey my Sweet Vs, it's The Sweetest Vegan here. As apart of the YouTube Next Chef program
I got to talk to Zac Young. If you don't know him, look him up. He is apart of of Bravo's Top Chef
Just Dessert Season 1. It was so good to talk to him
He was one of my favorite people. He used a lot of glitter and he just had so much personality.
And that is why we talked to him, about a chef personality and he challenged us to make a cookie.
So the cookie I choose to exude my The Sweetest Vegan personality was an Oatmeal Cookie bar. Its kind of healthy and kinda
sinfully healthy. I just love this vegan oatmeal bar and I hope you will too.
It's called the Vegan Oatmeal and All Bar. Here we go.
We are going to start by mixing together brown sugar, all purpose flour, salt, baking powder
and quick cooking oats. You are going to need to break up that brown sugar
a bit to get that moving. Then add in your vegan butter
And you are going to have to use your hands to get the vegan butter well incorporated like this.
Then lightly spray to loaf pans with cooking oil. Save about a quarter of that mixture
and press the rest in the bottom of the loaf pan. Layer on the other ingredients.
Your strawberry jam, or I use a simply spreadable, I think it was suppose to be healthier.
The blueberries, dried blueberries, cashews, then the rest of the oatmeal mixture.
Then lightly press is down. Lightly, but you want to incorporate it.
Then bake that for 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit
And it should reach a golden brown color and you should be able to smell it all through out the house.
Let it cool a bit so that it stays together when you plate it and it should taste like a bit of vegan heaven.
Like mine did. Be sure to check out my other vegan dessert videos and I will see you guys on Wednesday
