I'm Scope's Endurance Champion Matt Wroe.
When I decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro I knew my physical fitness was good enough..
...but the only thing I worried about was the altitude.
Training for altitude you can do it three ways:
one is going to an altitude test centre;
another is getting a machine that decreases oxygen levels at home to help mimic the altitude you'll be going to;
or the third way is the DIY way like me.
And it's basically an elevation mask where I'd run in it, cycle in it.
Training in the elevation mask helps increase the red blood cell count, which carries hemoglobin.
Hemoglobin carries oxygen from your lungs to your muscles, which helps one for altitude with Kilimanjaro, but also helps with endurance events.
