Tip:
Highlight text to annotate it
X
this
is an example of an InDesign file
that ZEB has ingested where individual letters
appear on a path, so the words are on a path
and so as it's ingested the words
it has not ingested them as words it is it ingested them as individual letters
so what we want to do is group those a into words so that in read aloud
they will highlight as words rather than
the individual letters as they're spoken. So in order to do that
we have a few options. One option is to
click and drag a box
around the letters and any spacing
that you want to group...let go,
select word, and that is now
grouped as a single word.
The other option for doing this is to select
the first letter, hold the command key, select all subsequent letters
and in the
spacing and punctuation needs to be included
and that particular word group let go
so I word that now P is
in the word list as a weird the real at work list as word
and the case all
a hyphenated words or a
woods with that a to be grouped together
to highlight as one as one group you can
use a be the one of those approaches you can select the late is individually or
as I'm gonna do here
stray cat box around
the latest punctuation the spacing that you want a group together
so it go slick word
and you'll now see that
all the I'm words
aside the yet yes and sometimes in our group as a
a as a word it will highlight as a as a single word
I set this to my window
look at the text order I'm you can see that
the takes daughter is not correct here I'm
all I wanted what I want to do their is reorder this top to bottom
it's now correct so if I got get backed by real out
of the words a and the
read aloud list appear in the correct order
the very end but sometimes yes sometimes
