\f0\fs24 \cf0 Hi Im John Mack your head trainer and today Im going to be showing you some
golf specific exercises utilizing the TRX. The TRX is a very versatile pieces of equipment
which can be used to work on strength, flexibility and both are a really important part of a
golf swing. First one we are going to do are a couple of flexibility exercises to really
work on our spinal rotators specifically our thoracic spine which is really important so
that we get a nice back swing full turn and also get a nice follow through as we move
through the ball. So what we are going to do is stand shoulder width and get into our
nice golf stance chin up back up and we are just going to work on opening up. Okay. Now
if i allow myself to rotate my head which I would never do in a golf swing that's going
to allow myself to get even further rotation out of it so now as I come up Im going to
follow with my head and you can see how much more rotation Im going to get out of it as
I work from side to side. I usually repeat about 10 to 15 times each side and then move
onto the next one. So the next one Im going to do is hold my straps in front , get a nice
good stance, and Im going to take both straps and turn all the way around so Im now facing
in the opposite direction really working on all those spinal and hip rotators and Ill
come back to center and then Ill go to the other side. Again, a great warmup real quick
to get you ready for a day out on the course. The next one Im going to do is move into a
couple of strength exercises. So Im going to do a row, a row is going to work the muscles
of my upper back, my rhomboids, k which c are really important for stabilizing the trunk
and having proper posture as I move through my days rounds it's also going to help maintain
an upright position so I don't develop lower back problems. Okay the great thing about
the TRX no matter what level strength you have you can always find a level of positioning
that is right for you so what I'm going to do here is have a nice flat back okay I'm
not going to tilt my head forward and Im just going to pull and pinch my shoulder blades
at the top of the motion. We usually do 12 to 15 reps and repeat a few times. So those
are some real simple basic exercises you can do and if you want to learn more we will be
doing a golf conditioning class in April and we'd love to have you! Thanks!}
