Hello and welcome to Todd's kitchen. So many times in the past people have asked me where to buy
powdered sugar or icing sugar because they simply can not find it in their country
So join me as i make my version and the only version of
powdered or icing sugar
now it's incredibly simple and easy to make
You can use a food processor or a blender its completely up to you but what i
highly recommend is that you use a gloss
blender or food processor
simple reason being if you use a plastic theres a good chance that it
will scratch the inside
So into this food processor I'm pouring in our regular
everyday plain sugar
And we are going to process this until we get a fine powder
okay so as you can see it is
more like a flour type substance
It is nice and fine and thats exactly how you want it
Now one final step and this is what you need to make it
form a nice thick paste that will set on top of the cake
for each couple powdered sugar add in two tablespoons of corn starch
and its also called cornflower so that's going to help thicken up the paste
when you make it into a nice icing. So place that on
and give it a quick mix around
And there we have it and how simple and easy was that. Now all you have to do now is place it into a
sealed container and this will last months and months in the pantry.
This way you will never run out of icing sugar or powdered sugar.
And im sure no matter what cake you put this on it will taste simply delicious
