I did not surf that day to receive pats on the back...you see
It was just a surf day and it ended up with all that apparatus
In aftermath fact somethings happened
it seemed that in a way we weren't given the due credit by the mass media
but i think that the Portuguese people and all the "sea community"
was hurt and kind of rose up. That made me really proud of being Portuguese
I was seeing the big waves coming
i knew that if i surfed one of those, it would be the biggest ever in my life
It seemed so easy, it was right here… So i said...lets go!
Ramon, my partner, he told me "C'mon man, i know this is your day"
i asked "do you think so?" he replied he was sure...and off we went
to be honeest until the first one i was really scared!
Simply because i had never seen such big waves so up close…
I knew i was gonna surf them, but when you'r there, they seem even bigger
I knew it was going to be an epic day and that i was going to have fun
I know that Nazaré can charge even bigger waves
I hope to be there when the waves get even bigger
