Hi, I'm Trevor Bending from OpticsPlanet, I'm here to show you some of the new
Armasight products. Armasight is a relatively newer company on the night vision market,
been around for about seven, eight months and they've come out of a lot of great new
products and one of them that I'm holding right here is their new AIM Mount. What
the AIM Mount does is it connects a night vision monocular to a mount and it
actually adds a reticle to that monocular. Turn it around right here, this little
piece of metal right here is going to project a reticle inside your night
vision
unit. So if you have a PVS-14,
you can attach it to the mount, and there's a quick detatch mount over here as well,
by turning this unit on you're actually projecting a reticle
in your night vision monocular.
Now you might say well why not just use a normal red dot sight? Well, the normal
red dot sight you actually limit your field of view.
This set up right here with a night vision monocular and an AIM Mount,
You keep a wide field of view, forty degrees are more, so you're no longer
have that ability, or have that tunnel vision when you add a red dot and a
monocular, this projection of a reticle
in the night vision unit itself
eliminates all that tunnel vision, you get the full field of view
that you normally get with a night vision monocular
and it's going to vary depending on the monocular. One of the great features of the
AIM Mount, it has an adjustable rheostat on the side so from zero up to eleven
different settings you can adjust the brightness of your reticle, and just like
any other aiming device, it has a windage and elevation adjustment so you can fine
tune this AIM Mount to be perfectly on target and zeroed. All quick detatch mounts will
go on a picatinny or weaver rail
and the unit itself is quick detatchable so if I can pop this off
separate mount on here
I can leave this on my rifle and Armasight is coming out with a monocular,
3x monocular, that you can attach to this unit as well and the reticle can
still be projected onto that monocular. So I can switch from night vision mode,
pop it off, put my 3x monocular on there, use it as a normal monocular if
I just need a little bit more magnification or attach it to this, turn the mount on and
now I have a 3x weapon sight on the same platform that's all quick
detachable, that will return to zero and I can bounce back-and-forth. Great new product from
Armasight, this is the AIM Mount, you can find this at OpticsPlanet.com
I'm Trevor Bending, thanks for watching.
