Hello everyone!
My name is Mike Troiano of Allied Vision Technologies
and we are at the Automate Show 2013 in Chicago of January.
I wanted to speak to you today about some of our new products that we're launching in North America,
pretty exciting for us!
First being our Mako camera series which are small Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 cameras;
next being our Manta camera series that we are going to enhance with some new sensors and some new technologies;
and finally our GT series, which is used heavily in outdoor imaging and high temperature range applications
see some new large format sensors.
So, first I'd like to highlight a little bit about our Mako series.
The Mako camera,
which is our smallest camera that we manufacture currently, has a 29x29 mm form factor,
will be available with USB 3.0, which is a new interface for Allied Vision Technologies,
and Gigabit Ethernet.
It will range from VGA to 4 Megapixel resolution
and will have speeds of up to 600 frames per second in VGA with USB 3.0
and 120 frames per second with 4 Megapixel.
The camera has one input and three outputs
as well as a 24 V power acceptance
and a wide I/O ranging from about 7 V to 24 V,
giving this camera a lot of flexibility
in factory automation, as well as nontraditional machine vision applications alike.
A couple of more highlights about the Mako series:
it will be able to be integrated with our new VIMBA SDK
and the VIMBA SDK is the first SDK that we've manufactured
that will allow you to work not only from FireWire but to Gigabit Ethernet and to USB 3.0,
allowing your code that you comprised in one interface
to be transferred easily to another interface and mixing technologies as your application needs.
Moving on now to our Manta camera series.
The Manta has been around for Allied Vision Technologies for several years
and it has been basically our "bread-and-butter" in the CCD-range.
But that's no longer going to be the case as we are now diversifying
and adding two new CMOS imagers into the camera series as of now
which is the 2 Megapixel CMOSIS sensor and the 4 Megapixel CMOSIS sensor.
We will soon also launch a VGA CMOSIS sensor at 300 frames per second
and this will be available in Q2/2013.
Another highlight for the Manta series that we are talking about at the show
is that a well-known sensor manufacturer has given us both 4 and 9 megapixels sensors
to integrate before the sensors are available.
Basically, Allied Vision Technologies, known as a leader in innovation,
was given the opportunity to prove out whether or not these sensors
would be good for the automation and outdoor imaging markets for a large sensor manufacturer
and we believe we have hit a home run with both of these products.
Finally moving on the GT series...
GT is standing for Gigabit Ethernet with high temperature range,
works from -20° to +65°C.
Our GT series that we are highlighting today is the GT6600
which is a 29 Megapixel camera that runs at 4 frames per second.
This camera will also be expanded on to have two new 16 Megapixel sensors that were launched from Truesense,
one with a 7.4µ, one with a 5.5µ technology
as well as a 12 Megapixel CMOSIS CMOS imager.
Some of the highlights of our large format body compared to other people in the industry is that
1) we use no external fan to cool this
and 2) with PTP (Precision Time Protocol -- IEEE1588)
we are able to synchronize multiple cameras across the same bus
so that stereo imaging is realized very easily for aerial imaging
and other outdoor applications.
Finally, this camera here doesn't show it
but with an E/F Adapter with control through our RS32 port
you are able to use any standard Canon lens that is available for focus and iris.
These are just some the highlights we wanted to share with you today on the show
