Hey there everyone, I'm Eunes Harun from Gizmo Brief. Today Samsung announced the brand new
iteration of the Note lineup. There are upgrades internally, and on the outside - so let's
find out what changed.
The new Galaxy Note 3 stretches enlarges the screen size at a massive 5.7-inch Full HD
Super AMOLED screen, vs 5.5-inches of the predecessor, the Galaxy Note 2. Along with
that, it has a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core Processor, an industry leading 3GB of RAM,
and weighs in at 168 grams, which is 15 grams lighter than the Note 2. The device also has
a new backing, crashing the plastic streak of Samsung devices - it comes with a faux
leather backing to improve the feeling of the device in and. Also, it feels noticeably
thinner and that's because, despite the better internals, it's just 8.3mm thin. The new device
runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with Samsung's custom software on top, also
known as TouchWiz. On the inside, the Note 3's battery has been upgraded to 3,200mAh
-- and hopefully, that's enough bring you through a whole day, just like the older models
in the Note's lineup. The back facing camera packs in 13 megapixels, and supports Full
HD, 1080p video recording.
Just like Samsung's known for, the Note 3 comes with a brand new list of features, mostly
trying to hype the S Pen that has been signature to the Note lineup. The major new feature
is the new S-Pen Air Command where when you queue it up, it brings up a few options like
a virtual scrapbooking, some smart memos and more. Not only that, Samsung also beefed up
the multitasking function and now aims at delivering more efficient productivity.
Samsung did confirm that it will ship in 32GB and 64GB variants, and as for its release
date, Samsung said it will ship to the U.S. in October. It will launch around the world
and in the United States on five U.S. carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint
and U.S. Cellular, though pricing hasn't been detailed.
