Hello to you.
The director and the members of Yamantaka Center asked me to talk about my life.
It's not very important, it's just a story but I'll tell you about it.
First I pay my respects and dedicate my merits to His Holliness The Dalai Lama.
If you wonder where I was born, that was in Northeast Tibet, Northeast of Lhasa,
My place of birth is Lung Shu Nga Nag, below Retreng.
When I was 3, 4 years old I had no important feelings,
Exept for crying and eating I had no important problems.
When I turned 7 years old I started studying with Teacher Tamtri-La and learned to read and write with him.
When I was 10 my father talked to me about Guru Rinpoche and Hayagriva,
I learned a little about them.
And since in my home they had a peaceful way of thinking,
I started to learn about being a carpenter, sowing and cultivating the land.
So... .my parents and grandma had a lot of faith in Buddhism.
Eventhough the chinese don't allow it, they would recite many prayers
And so I too had a lot of faith and that left me great imprints.
So my first Buddhist teachers were my parents who are very sacred to me.
For this reason I had a great desire to become a monk. And at last when I turned 17 I became a monk.
On January 15 1986 I left for Sera Monastery (TIbet) and I was under the tutoring of Lama Tsamten Labsum
I studied Buddhism with Lama Choten La, and started to memorize the texts. I was there for about a year.
There was no real place to study debate,
I thought I couldn't just keep faking debate just so the chinese could see it,
Then I heard that His Holliness the Dalai Lama gave lots of teachings
And there was an opportunity to be able to study in India. So the idea to go to India began.
On March 14th 1987 I went to India without a passport or visa. First I was in Nepal y then I arrived in Dharamsala.
On the way to India, I thought about that hot country, in being able to meet His Holliness
And in my family and the fact that I had left them, I was happy and sad.
I got to Nepal and from there I went to Dharamsala India and in april 22 1987 I met His Holliness.
His Holliness said (at that audience): "We have obtained benefits."
" It's a real struggle. In the future where ever you go you must study well, and be kind hearted.
Those words really got to me and I promised to do that, eventhough I haven't been able to do it well, I'm not really kind hearted,
But I was very fortunate and I'm very thankfull. It was a great fortune.
In November 1987 I went to the south of India, to Sera Monastery (India). They sent me to a khang thse and asigned me a Teacher,
Lama Thubten Tashi. I has two teachers with whom I started studying the texts and I am very greatfull to them.
On november 5th 1988 was a very fortunate day because His Holliness went to the monastery and gave us full ordination
To more than 10 monks. His Holliness gave us teachings on the texts and the monk's vows. It was very beneficial.
Because I studied the texts so hard I got gastritis. That was in 1992.
And so one of my teachers told me to go to Bodhgaya.
There I did 100 thousand prostrations y 100 thousand mantras of Manyushri.
I recovered completely from my sickness. Making prostrations is very good.
Only listening to the Lama's teachings won't benefit us.
We must study the texts, study oneself and then debate with your fellow classmates.
In 2000 I passed the famous Gelupa exam (to become Geshe).
In the year 2006 I obtained the last degree, that of Geshe Larampa, and I made offerings to most of the monks.
In 2007 I went to Gyume Monastery to study. Lama Jhampa Chotrag taught me about the texts, excellent clases.
He already died and that made me very sad.
Thinking about how greatfull I was to him, I studied very dilligently about tantra to take the exam that was the last one of my life.
In 2008 I made a Yamantaka and Hayagriva retreat. That retreat was with some classmates and several Lamas.
After that the Khang Thse asked me to go to Swittzerland and I said yes. I talked about Dharma but what I mainly did, was puyas.
It was really good because the offerings that the people gave were for the Khang Thse
On March 28 2009 I was sent to the Dalai Lama Institute in Bangalore.
There I taught Dharma, I also took care of all Buddhist things and organized the events for important dates. It's a good school.
The students and teachers there really like Buddhism.
My mother is very sacred to me so I thought to go to Tibet to see her and I tried to quit but they insisted that I stay longer.
After that, things with China got very complicated and I couldn't go.
Around that time, Zopa Rinpoche asked me to come to South America.
And because in that Khang Thse they were so kind to me, I accepted.
Then I did a Haygriva retreat, and later a Heruka retreat. It was very benefitial.
On february 28 2013 I arrived in South America, in Colombia. At the airport some members of the Center and the director were waiting for me and greeted me.
I really liked them, There was a feeling of having met them a long time ago.
From the begining Lama Zopa Rinpoche asked me to talk about the Lam Rim Chen Mo.
The members of the center are very faithfull buddhists. They are very honest and have very pleasant speech.
I'm trying my best to do what Lama Zopa Rinpoche asked me to do, even though until now after 4 months I haven't gained enough experience.
I ask the students all the time if they agree with the teaching method.
That's how it has been up to now. The place is very beautiful. Thank you for this.
And as for what will happen in the future, that depends on the effort of each one of us and if even then, no good comes of this, I guess its karma then.
And now its time to say good bye.
