This is a message & plea to all Syrians living abroad, outside Syria
A simple question: What have you contributed to the Revolution?
Tomorrow, when you return to your country, Syria, how would you be able to confront your countrymen in
a free Syria, while you were busy overseas, making money?
What did YOU contribute to the revolution?
The Youth here have sacrificed their work, schools, and studies, to go online and spread the word
Don't use lame and empty excuses that you're sick or too ill to contribute.
Your country and the blood of its martyrs that have sacrificed for the revolution don't need you to get
angry and upset. Now is not the time for that.
Your country needs you now. To get to work. To contribute to the revolution.
Oh people! There are dead bodies in Fruit Truck Refrigerators, because there is no SAFE place to bury them!
Oh people! It is the first time in Islam's 1400 year old history that Friday prayers are banned
Yes. Friday Prayers were banned in the city of Houran. Kids are being killed infront of their mothers.
Our women are being arrested and held. God only knows what they are doing to them.
The horrifying pictures that are coming out, makes us cry blood.
I do not want to get into the specifics.. of the crimes that are being committed but...
We are living through a real and undeniable massacre.
Despite this, and it sorrows me to say, but there are many people [outside Syria] who remain scared.
They are scared to to talk to their friends, to 'like' or 'share' a page on facebook.
It is because of the fear propogated by the regime that has been ingrained in Syrians for 50 years
But now is not the time to be scared. It is time for YOU to move and be active for the revolution.
Your people are being slaughtered.
It is important for you to be active in this revolution so that you can see [events] for yourself.
My advice to my Syrian bretheren abroad...
You may have left your family and your country so that you're not conscripted in the Army... Or
or because you couldn't find a job in Syria, and you were forced to go abroad...
Another Country has benefitted from your knowledge and skills.
And Syria was deprived of your skills and generosity.
Our Country was left in the hands of theives, stealing and pillaging its resources.
YOU must do something now. YOU have to. Otherwise you risk feeling ashamed for doing nothing, when Syria is FREE.
There are many things that YOU can do to benefit the Syrian revolution, even though you are outside Syria.
Before I mention these points, we must agree that we have reached a POINT OF NO RETURN.
It should be an accepted fact that it is impossible for us to return to the way things were before the
revolution starting. This revolution will succeed with the grace of God. If God did not will for the
revolution to succeed, the things will become much worse than what they were...
The Security Apparatus [Mukhabarat], thugs [Shabiha], and the regime will proceed to arrest everyone
who simply wrote a letter or word or made a video against the regime. We will be systematically rounded up 1 by 1.
It will be a throwback to the 1980s [Hama Massacre 1982 55,000 people we slaughtered]
Therefore, it is time for that fear barrier to be broken. There is no reason to be scared.
You are not armed. This is not a civil war.
Everything that you are doing is asking for your human rights.
People are living under opression and under humiliating circumstances. [no money, no jobs, no food, no water]
All I am asking is that you raise awareness regarding the violiation of human rights that is happening..
We are the ones inside Syria that are sacrificing our souls and shedding blood for the cause of freedom.
I am not asking you to sacrifice your life. All I would like you to do is to be aware of what the people
of Syria are going through and raise awareness of this tragedy. Here are some ways you can do this.
#1. You must contact media outlets and voice your opinion and express your feelings truthfully.
You can contact many media organizations, including Al Jazeera, BBC, any news programs...
and let your voice be heard... let them know how you feel about the massacres that are being committed..
#2 You can utilise blogs and publish articles... You can translate videos and send them to the media.
This can be assisted through the use of Facebook and Twitter.
#3 Send any videos you find on the internet to news outlets & human rights organizations.
This only takes a couple of seconds, and a few keyboard strokes and mouse clicks...
#4 Offer your services to the many pages and websites that promote the revolution.
This can include any video clips you may have in your posession or you think is significant...
All our youth are sacrificing for this cause... and they need your help.
#5 Organise peaceful protests infront of the Syrian embassy or consulate.
#6 Speak to community leaders, religious leaders and get them to raise awareness on what's happening in Syria.
#7 Establish communication and contacts with rights groups and news outlets.
#8 Pressure organizations to bring doctors and medications, particularly in Darra and many other beseiged cities.
#9 Try and find a way to break the seige on the cities including Daraa to get medical and food aid inside.
#10 Pressure politicians to break the seige incl. Erdogan, Sarkozy, or any person that has some kind of standing in the international community.
#11 If you are a doctor, WRITE articles for us on how to treat the wounded.
If you are in the army, tell us how we can protect ourselves.
People here are only have their bare chests and they are getting shot with live bullets.
If you are a computer engineer, tell us how we can spread news anonymously.
If you are a photographer, tell us how we should be filming.
For the women, you can write letters and poems to us and to the news outlets...
#11 Write poems and songs so that they can help us unite. Send them to the revolution websites /fb pages.
Do not fall for the trap that we are armed. Our protests are Peaceful. Peaceful. We distance ourselves from secretarianism.
#12 Record audio and video that may help the revolution, and spread it via the internet.
This is the least you can do.... Imagine facing your lord and having done nothing for your people?...
