Many of the young men you see here , were born here
it's not a place where people live here temporarily and then go away.
Many children are now already with children and live in these situations:
there is a lot of drug use, substances, smoking ***, there's heroine .
This place is Kauran Basar , where all these people live
leaning against the rail.
They call me "Bhā'i" which means "big brother"
because for them to say the name of a person is degrading
then say "Bhā'i"
These are children who live on their own
recycling plastic, iron , glass and all what they find on the street
and live in a situation of almost slavery because they have to sell what they collect
in certain shops with which they are financially indebted .
A characteristic of these children is that in somehow
they maintain a good level of connection between them and solidarity
so they help each other and when it is offered them a certain service,
they pass the item and get: if they know we are there, they come to us
if are in need of health services or even sleep for a night or eat a decent meal
I live here, in the cabin of the trader of waste:
I collect paper, plastic, glass that I find around the city.
I'm 10 years old, I'm not with my family, I live here with other children,
I don't like living here, I want to go away.
I would love to go to school, learn a job:
one day I will go away from here.
I will go soon.
