Hi, in this video we’re going to show you how to set up and use your BT Baby Monitor
Pacifier.
In the package you get a baby unit, a parent unit with rechargeable batteries, a charger,
2 power adapters, an MP3 connector and a handy travel bag.
Here on the parent unit we have the power button, the mute buttons, the torch and the
menu where you can activate the key features such as the lightshow, MP3 player, lullabies,
the temperature-changing nightlight and the cry alert.
On the baby unit, here’s the power button, the music button for soothing your baby, the
lightshow button, the nightlight and finally the link indicator, which shows it’s linked
to the parent unit.
Before using the baby monitor you’ll first need to plug the units into the mains socket.
The cables can be plugged into the rear of the units like so. The red light indicates
it is now charging.
It’s important to leave the parent unit to charge for 16hrs before using it. This
ensures the battery will work well in the future.
Now hold down the power button until the lights come on. The units will then start linking
automatically. If both units are linked the green light on the baby unit will stop flashing
and show steady green. It’s now ready to use.
If the link between the 2 units gets broken the indicators will turn red, the parent units
displays the message No Link and you will hear an alert signal.
If this happens, check that the mains power is plugged in and switched on at the Baby
unit, check that both units are switched on, and check that the batteries are charged in
the Parent unit. You should also check that the Parent and Baby units are within range
of each other. In ideal conditions the range is up to 300 metres outdoors and 50 metres
indoors. If you still have problems you can contact us on the number on screen.
You can set the monitor up so it only alerts you when a noise hits your chosen volume.
For example, if you want to be alerted to your baby crying, but not alerted to small
sounds or movement. This can be done with the cry alert function using the mute all
or mute low button.
The unique feature in the baby monitor pacifier is the starry lightshow projector, which you
can activate from both units. It’s completely silent and you can adjust the projection angle
from the baby unit.
To give you reassurance that the baby’s room isn’t too hot or cold there is a temperature
sensor on the baby unit here. You’ll be alerted if it gets too hot or too cold by
the Parent unit vibrating and beeping, and it will display a message on the screen.
The colour of the Baby unit nightlight will also change. It will glow blue when below
16 degrees, yellow between 16–20 degrees, orange between 21-24 degrees and red over
24 degrees. One tip is to ensure the sensor is not too
close to the baby but equally not near a heat source, such as a radiator.
You can also plug in an external audio source like an MP3 or CD player and play music or
audio books of your choice to your baby. The auxiliary port is located on the back of the
Baby unit and can be connected like this. You can then activate it by pressing the “menu”,
and scrolling and selecting “external”
The lullabies feature has nineteen songs that can be played to gently soothe your baby.
You can select from a variety of songs or choose to play them all. You can also use
the timer function to choose how long it plays for.
So that’s it. We hope this video has been useful and that you enjoy your BT Baby Monitor
and Pacifier.
