Today we're going to making a Raw Mayonnaise and a Spicy Mayonnaise.
So, some people like my son, he
can't have spice, so that's why I'm going to just go ahead and make
two different kinds in the same setting.
So, first I'm going to 1 1/2 cup of cashews, and
these have been soaked in purified water for 4-8 hours
so that makes them soft and
better to digest. And then I'm going to add 1/2 cup of
purified water.
2 tablespoons of lemon juice, fresh
squeezed
and a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder,
a 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder,
a 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt,
and in these little
dishes I have my spice, which is
1/4 teaspoon of cayenne, and 1/4 teaspoon of
paprika. I'm just going to save these and add them
in just a moment. So, first I'm going to take and blend in
my blender.
Okay.
And that looks pretty good, although,
I'm just going to blend it just a little bit more.
So now I'm going to take out
So now I'm going to take out
a little portion of my regular mayonnaise
and just kind of lay it out on my
serving dish.
And this one's for
my son because he does not like Spicy Mayonnaise.
And the rest I'm going to make for myself and
added that kick. So, a 1/4 of a teaspoon
which is basically just a pinch of cayenne pepper
and then a pinch of paprika.
And blend again.
Alright.
And this is my
grown-up spicy, delicious
mayonnaise.
And I'm just going to dust
my spicy one so that everyone knows
this is the one with the little kick.
You can just kind of put that out for a party
or a dish and everyone will love
your homemade, delicious raw mayonnaise.
