Vegan Peach Cobbler Recipe
Hey my Sweet Vs, it's The Sweetest Vegan here. Today on the show I will be teaching you how to make one of my favorite
desserts. It's a peach cobbler and we love peach cobbler here in the south and I know I have made this several times on the
show, but I want to make it again. Because I think I came up with a new variation and you'll love it
it is simple. Let's get started.
Vegan Peach Cobbler Recipe - Food, Dessert
Start the recipe by whisking together your dry ingredients. They are all purpose flour,
raw sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Whisk that all together, then slowly whisk in your almond milk and continue to whisk.
Now you don't want to over mix, but if you slowly drizzle in the almond milk while you mix,
you will have less lumps, and as soon as you have all the almond milk poured in, you can pretty much stop whisking, because
all incorporated. Next I am using a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. I'm just going to put a little bit of coconut oil in the bottom
before layering in my peaches. These are in season peaches, I pitted them, I sliced them, I am layering them in the casserole dish
Our last step is to pour on the batter and bake. I have preheated my oven to 350 degrees F
and I am just going to bake this cobbler for 35 - 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and set.
Now you can serve it up. What I love about this variation is that I used all purpose flour and I added in baking powder and salt
When I was growing up, we just used self rising flour, didn't add in any baking powder, didn't add any salt.
but with the baking powder and salt added in separately it makes the dough rise a lot more into more of a cake
and then you have the fruit on the bottom and its like juicy in it's own right. Instead of like with the self rising flour
you would have flour that would not rise, so it would be the glutenous, gelatinous settlement of flour at the bottom.
Anybody know baking science? But that is what would happen and with this cobbler you have the fruit and then you have the
wonderful cake-y cobbler at the top. It is really a good recipe. If you try it, leave a video response or a comment below
And I would love to see them. That is it for today. Bye.
