Now I want to show you the built in pipe data tables of the Pipe Trades Pro.
There's 7 material types built into the calculator. Simply press the
[Pipe Mat'l] key.
You'll see the first of the 7 - steel. Continued presses will show you the rest
of the materials -
stainless steel,
brass,
aluminum,
cast iron, plastic or pvc and copper.
Once you've selected a material you can determine the pipe type you want.
You determine the pipe type by using a secondary function.
Use the [Conv] key and
then [Pipe Size] for pipe types
and that over in the left gives you the different schedules. All the different
schedules that are available for any of the material types, in this case steel,
are shown over there. This is schedule 80 we're using.
Once you have selected your pipe material and pipe type
you can enter a pipe size and see the corresponding data.
So let's just start at the beginning there. We've got a pipe material -
steel. Select our pipe type [Conv] [Pipe Size]
schedule 80.
It's going to be 3 inch pipe.
We enter [3][Inch]
and then we hit [Pipe Size] and we get
the data that is included in the calculator for that particular type
material and size.
The outside diameter,
the internal diameter, the thickness,
the material is steel,
the pipe weight in pounds per feet,
the fill weight
and the area of the inside of the pipe.
So that's a quick overview on the built in pipe data tables of the Pipe Trades Pro.
