This is a very special occasion.
Members of the "Star For Life" team have come to our studio!
Why don't we let them introduce themselves?
- I'm Göran Rydbo. - I'm Ken Wennerholm, from Göteborg.
Ken, I'll switch back to Swedish...
The Marching For Life benefit was a fantastic experience for Sigma.
More than 1,500 took part.
Could you tell us about the background?
We've been touring with this program
for the past six years using different formats,
with children from the schools we work with.
But this time, we took it one step further and directed it ourselves.
Which means more funds going straight into Star For Life.
We mobilized 7,000 high school students in 23 Swedish cities.
It became a meeting place, as well:
Young people from various parts of Sweden, from various backgrounds,
joined forces and sang together for the benefit of South Africa.
Companies like Sigma helped make this happen.
Providing the assurance that we won't lose money,
so all we make can go to the cause, "keeping it in the family".
It's the latest development in a project
we've been a part of for 6 years.
The results were terrific!
Sigma will continue to support Star For Life,
and get even more involved.
So Göran, what about next year? What kind of plans are there?
Marching For Life is the concert that generates funds for Star For Life.
But we've noticed that this format, creating a meeting place for youth,
is a new development that really brings Star For Life into Sweden.
The young people we recruit from South Africa and Namibia
they have a huge impact on young people in Sweden.
We call them our stars, and they really are stars when they come here.
We want our young Swedes to shine like stars at the concerts, too.
On top of that, these great artists, famous and not-so,
help us out to create a terrific show.
- So next time will be spectacular? - Even more spectacular!
The experience gave us lots of new ideas to work on.
Great! We're looking forward to it!
Seasons greetings from Star For Life!
