We're going to talk about the Rugged jack boxes for the RRP800 intercom.
What we do is with RRP800 fire safety intercom, we offer of a variety of
different
pre-installed, pre-done jack boxes. Now, these jack boxes do different functions.
First jack box,
the RRP800 is a dual radio intercom. So we simply have your headset jack, we have
a radio one, radio two switch, and push to talk. What this allows you to do, is you
select which radio you'd like to transmit on, then you press the PTT button. Now,
these are all based around our quick lock system. So it has an "in"
quick lock port and it has an "out" quick lock port. This way you take you take your pre-made
cable, and these are daisy chain cables, so you plug into the back of the RRP800
fire safety intercom, then you run the cable all the way over to the jack box.
This is a 10 foot cable- we make them available in 6, 10, and 15 feet, so
if you need a little bit more room than 10 feet on the cable you can simply
plug in another cable and continue running it to the jack box. So
that's your dual radio jack box for your driver and your engineer. Then what we've got is for your
crew, we have a couple options. We have a single jack box
for your crew, so you can for each crew can have their own jack box or we make a dual
jack box for your crew. So simply all you as you run one cable from the crew port
of the intercom all the way over into the
inside of the dual jack box- this is your two crew. If you have a six place and
you want to add an additional two crew,
it has a outport, a quick lock outport. So you simply plug a cable in, use another dual
crew jack box and add it to a set, second two positions. So, real easy, you can configure
it to that six place position. Now, also we have a specialty jack box- this is
great for ambulances, places where you may need an extra, dedicated radio to
that position. What this does is, you have your handset port, then you have a push to
talk and you have a volume control. This way, for the radio that's plugged in to this port,
all you do is plug in your mobile radio directly into this and now
that person, that postion, can hit the push to talk and they can transmit over
the
dedicated radio that's on this jack box. Really great feature for
ambulances when they need to talk to the dispatcher near the hospital. They can use their
own radio to talk without going over the radio
that's in the front.
So this is a really great jack box. All of our jack boxes are based
around the quick lock "in" and "out" ports. It's very easy to plug in a box
and continue to another panel. Say for instance, on this dual radio jack box
you want to run a pump panel.
You simply, this is already installed, plug into the "out" port, run it over to a pump panel.
So all Rugged jack boxes aroung based around quick lock, very easy to install. Rugged, for the
