Hello. In this episode I will tell you about the types of SIM cards.
SIM cards types
SIM card is a plastic electronic card with built-in memory and microprocessor.
It allows you to access telecommunications services.
Several sizes of SIM cards to suit different phones
and devices are currently available on the market.
SIM cards were first made the same size as a credit card.
Smaller sizes are now used: mini, micro and nano SIM.
The most recognisable and popular size so far has been the mini size
i.e. a standard 25 x 15 mm SIM card.
It is used in such smartphone models as: Samsung Galaxy S2 and LG Swift L5.
Currently, microsim, i.e. 15 x 12 mm cards, are used in more and more devices.
You need that size of card when you want to use smartphone models such as:
Samsung Galaxy S3, Nokia Lumia 810 or HTC One.
The smallest card available on the market is nanosim.
Its size is approx. 12 mm x 9 mm and it is supported by Iphone 5 and iPad Mini.
If you bought a phone which does not support the card
you have been using, you can replace it in any Orange shop.
Nano and micro SIM cards can also be used in phone models that support larger sizes.
You just have to put the card in a proper adapter.
New Orange SIM cards are adapted to mobile phones
which support mini and micro SIM.
You simply select a card in the size you need.
