Hi everyone, this is Stephanie Manly with CopyKat.com and I'm so excited
today because I'm part of a video collaboration with a bunch of other
YouTubers here. Look in the description box down below because you're going
to see all sorts of people. One of my favorites, Noreen from Noreen's
Kitchen, is also going to do something for Super Bowl. I don't know what
yet, but I'm very excited to see what she's doing. I'm going to show you
how to do some Super Bowl meatballs. I know a lot of people really like the
combination of the chili sauce and the cranberry sauce, and it tastes
really, really good. But I have a secret weapon in mind. I am going to put
a ton of chipotle pepper in here.
Chipotle peppers are a wonderful, spicy, smoky jalapeno pepper. It doesn't
have too much heat, so it's just right. We're going to put a little
variation on this well known recipe. The first thing we need to do is we
need to go ahead and make our meatballs. I have a couple of pound of
hamburger meat here and to this I am going to add plenty of salt and
pepper. I want to season these up really good. If you look in the
description box down below, I have the exact measurements and ingredients,
so be sure to check those out. Plenty of salt and pepper. I am going to
stick in a little bit of smoked paprika in here. I'm going to stick about a
half a teaspoon of smoked paprika. If you've never tried smoked paprika, it
is a really nice spice to get just the right amount of smoke in here. We're
also going to put a good half-teaspoon of chipotle powder in here. It
smells incredible. If you were here, you could smell this wonderful stuff.
It's great.
The next thing we're going to do is we're going to take a couple of eggs,
we're going to crack them and put them in here. Then, we're going to add
about a cup or so of bread crumbs and we're going to mix these up. Now it's
time to go ahead and mix up our meatballs. For these, I like to use plain
breadcrumbs because we're really wanting to emphasize the chipotle flavor
here. You really also need the breadcrumbs to help bind everything
together.
Now, we're going to go ahead and start rolling our meatballs. I'm going to
bake these in the oven at 350 degrees for about a half an hour or so. The
first thing we need to do is just go ahead and makeup our meatballs. Let's
try to make them consistent. If you have a scoop, like a cookie scoop,
those are great to use. You get nice, pretty, even ones that way. I've got
my meatballs all rolled up, so what do we do next? Well, we wash our hands
cause we've been touching raw meat and then we're going to stick them in
the oven for about 25, 30 minutes until they're all nice and golden brown.
We'll come back when I take these out of the oven.
Our meat balls have cooked in the oven for about 25, 30 minutes, and now
it's time to make the sauce. What we are going to use is a bottle of chili
sauce. This is sold in the grocery stores, it is sold right next to the
cocktail sauce. I promise your grocery store has chili sauce. We are going
to put the whole bottle in here. So, a whole bottle of chili sauce and you
need about a half a can of the gelled cranberry sauce, and who knows? You
might have some leftover from Thanksgiving. Go ahead and get that in there
as well. We're going to go ahead and give this a quick little stir.
Then, again, I'm going to add my secret ingredient. My secret ingredient is
chipotle. I love this, from Tabasco, they make this smoked chipotle
seasoning blend and it's fantastic, so we're going to go ahead and put some
of that in. The next thing we're going to do is we are just going to add in
some of our meatballs and we're going to give these a couple of hours in
here and they're going to be perfect. You can come back when we're done
with this and we'll check them out. My meatballs have been in my crockpot
for a while now and now they're ready to go and, oh my gosh, they smell
fantastic.
Here you go. Here are my Super Bowl meatballs. With these meatballs
everyone's a winner and be sure to check out the other YouTubers, there
videos are listed down below and check out what they're making. If you've
enjoyed this video, please give me a big thumbs up here on YouTube and drop
me a comment. Let me know what is your favorite Super Bowl snack food. I'd
love to hear from you. Thank you for watching.
