The Enhanced Image Packet, EIP, is a convenient way of packing your RAW image,
adjustment settings, ICC and LCC profile, into one combined file.
This can be useful if you wish to send the RAW image,
with your adjustments in Capture One, to a third party.
For example, a retoucher.
The third party can then open the EIP in Capture One,
with all adjustments intact.
To pack one or more files as an EIP, first select them in the browser.
Then choose File>Pack as EIP
The RAW file and adjustments are automatically packed
and the image is renamed as EIP.
To unpack the file, highlight it and choose, File>Unpack EIP.
To set EIP packing as a permanent feature,
select the relevant boxes in the Capture One Preference, Image tab.
The EIP format is only supported in Sessions file management.
Importing .eip files into a Catalog, will automatically cause them to be unpacked
and the RAW image added to the catalog.
To include the adjustments contained in the .EIP file,
make sure you check the 'Include Existing Adjustments' box
in the Catalog import dialog.
