Hi, I'm Rebecca Guenther at www.m5a1photography.com, and I'm going to talk to you about some techniques
in fashion photography. When it comes to fashion photography, you can be a little bit more
outside of the box when it comes to lighting or ideas or locations. For example, it would
not be completely absurd in fashion photography to take a model in a ball gown and have her
in the middle of the woods. This is kind of typical. What you want to make sure of is
that, it's an interesting photograph that shows the clothes in an interesting location.
And you can do this in your studio and still make it interesting. You can do it around
your home. You can do it out on location, you can do it just about anywhere. When it
comes to framing, what's most important is you want to be sure that the clothes are shown
well. It's all about the fashion. Have the model try different poses. Have her stand
differently, maybe have her move. Have her jump around. Try and capture some action shots,
because those always show the clothes moving and designers really like that. And you want
to make sure that the lighting again is really interesting and shows the texture of the fabric
or the fold of the fabric. And you always want to make sure that the color of the clothes
shows up really well as well. And those are some fashion photography techniques.
