It was one of the most fearsome fighters of World War II with a distinctive look that
set it apart from all other warbirds. Now YOU can pilot a 60-size version of the F4U
Corsair, with all of the quality and craftsmanship that Top Flite is known for. The main sections
are built-up, sheeted, and covered in authentic-looking flat-finish MonoKote. Another time-saver is
the pre-hinged ailerons and flaps and the flaps are engineered in sections to be fully
operational. Even more attention to detail can be found in the gull wing itself. In order
to achieve a smooth, scale appearance the balsa sheeting is formed wet, then curved
and shaped on molds. Inside the painted fiberglass cowl is a dummy radial engine complete with
pushrods and the cockpit is very detailed, right down to the recessed gauges on the instrument
panel. For the ultimate is realism you can equip your Corsair with optional retracts,
which fold flush inside the wing panel for scale-like looks and flight performance. Another
detail that enhances the plane's profile is the hidden tail surface linkages, with the
pushrods easily accessible underneath this fiberglass panel. Mount an OS 65 AX engine
and you'll enjoy outstanding two-stroke performance - or install a four-stroke FS95V for added
muscle and scale-like sound. And that's not all: in the air, you'll discover that this
model is much easier to fly than your typical 60-sized warbird. If you want to experience
the pinnacle in Gold Edition engineering, put yourself at the controls of Top Flite's
60-size F4U Corsair, and rule the skies with the famous bent-wing warrior!
