Hi - I'm Pete and today I'll be taking you on a quick 2 minute tour to show you whats
inside AViCAD.
First off. you probably wondering just what is AViCAD?
AViCAD is a complete 2D and 3D CAD application with an interface very similar to AutoCAD
full version.
To begin, let me give you a little of history behind our product. AViCAD uses an CAD engine
called IntelliCAD - in the late 90s when Autodesk and a company called Softdesk split - a FCC
ruling allowed Softdesk to develop what later became IntelliCAD.
What makes AViCAD different is that it also include of Engineering Tools we call Mech-Q.
The combination allows you to run 2D and 3D Engineering tools without the need to buy
AutoCAD costing you thousands of dollars.
You'll find that AViCAD is packed with AutoCAD- like features and automatically saves to Dee
W Gee file type that can be read by AutoCAD as well.
So lets continue on with the tour, you can see on the right side we have our Properties
palette
Then our snap settings and other command shortcuts are to the lower right. On the opposite side
is the toolbar is where we can quickly change and freeze layers plus more.
You can create Aliases just like in AutoCAD. So if you're familiar using a certain shortcut
to run a command, you can add that in AViCAD really easily.
Additionally we've included the Express Tools (which you won't find in AutoCAD "Ell Tee"
versions)
We also supply a 2D Architectural add-on with a window, door and even a roof tool.
And all the menus you'll notice are all the same. Maybe really some small difference here
an there. >>
But I think you'll agree --- with AViCAD costing 1/8th of the price of 2D/3D AutoCAD -- this
is a no brainer.
Let me show you the 3D side of AViCAD real quick by creating a *** and pipe and then
rendering it. Its real easy, We just pick and choose what we need and our tools do the
rest. In just a couple of seconds we can render to create a more realistic drawing. We can
also save this to an image to PDF or print it.
Today we've only scraped the surface of what you can do with AViCAD. For more info I recommend
clicking the video link at the top of page on avicad.com.
Thanks for watching - and take a minute to try out AViCAD - its a quick download and
extremely easy to setup.
