This production is based on the
play "An Inspector calls" and is performed by the Sydney "Mirror" Theatre. It is an extraordinary
mixture of social satire, sarcasm and wonderful mysticism.
This play was written in 1946 by an English novelist John Boynton Priestley. The action
takes place in 1921. Usually this play is interpreted as a political thriller with certain
psychological underlying motives. This play is about the upper classes that oppress the
lower classes. The "Mirror" theater director Elena Green
- especially after "The stars" ... the previous performance. It had definite political motives.
I wasn't as interested in politics anymore. That was how topical the play was at the time,
it had a meaning then. However, if you remove the political aspect, a very interesting psychological
pattern emerges, as well as and problems that concern us today.
The main central thought of this play is that we should behave well and think about our
loved ones. All sorts of books, philosophy, religion, parents suggest this idea to us.
Therefore, I set myself a goal to bury this idea as deep as possible, because otherwise
it is simply impossible to perceive. This production will be very theatrical. Theatricality,
any element that you can imagine will be used in this play.
Tatiana Vengerovskaya - Actress Tatyana Vengerovskaya This role will be probably the role of my
life. It is unlike any other roles. Working on it is much more interesting than on anything
I have done before. It is an image that I 'm close to.
"Mirror" Theater director Helen Green - Tatiana Vengerovskaya plays the role of the
mother, we have been together in the theater since 1996. Then I was an actress in Valentina
Leonidovna's company. We played in many performances together. Tanya has been involved in all my
works. Alexander Lyaschenko - Actor Alex Lyaschenko
I play the role of a wealthy businessman. He is a fiancé . He is a successful man.
The role is not so simple, it is very interesting. It starts with simple things, and then it
becomes complicated and turns into multifaceted interesting nuances.
Theater director "Mirror" Helen Green - Sasha Lyaschenko and Andrei. These guys came
when I became artistic director, and to
some extent, I call them my actors. When we work, all the studios, practice sessions and
lessons are structured so that it would be easy for me to explain and communicate about
what I want from the guys in a particular scene.
Andrew Bogulev - Actor Andrei Bobylev Stepanets - Actress Yulia Stepanets
In the upcoming play, we play brother and sister. In the theater we had our debut in 2006, 8 years ago. Then we also
played brother and sister. Apparently it's our destiny. Ha
ha ha. The play was called "Room with breakfast". In this play, our relationship and the relationships
of members of the same family are very multi-faceted and complex. Well, the audience is going to
see how complex they are when they see the play.
